Dr. Stipelman completed her undergraduate degree from The George Washington University in 2001. She received her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from The University of Maryland at College Park in 2008. Dr. Stipelman completed a pre-doctoral internship in behavioral medicine at UMDNJ-University Behavioral Healthcare in Piscataway, NJ and a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. She has been a licensed psychologist in private practice since 2010.
Dr. Stipelman has experience working with a variety of populations across a range of treatment settings including outpatient mental health, partial hospitalization, residential drug treatment, and specialty clinics for anxiety, smoking, and chronic pain.
Dr. Stipelman also spent 7 years as a researcher and Scientific Program Manager at the National Institutes of Health and has published over 20 journal articles and chapters on a broad range of mental health topics including anxiety, substance use, tobacco, and chronic pain.
Dr. Stipelman lives in Potomac with her husband, three kids and their dog, Archie. In her spare time, Dr. Stipelman enjoys cooking, traveling, spending time with her friends and family and catching up on TV.
